Character Description - Full Name: Valinthras Snakewrithe (formerly Valinthras Herondale) - In-Game Name: Snakewrithe - Age: Unknown; (30 in life) - Alignment: Chaotic Evil - Occupation: Dark Apothecary, PhD in Mixology - Location: The Apothecarium, Undercity - Physical/Special/Deformity Traits: Valinthras stands at just under his living height of five feet and eight inches. His skin is pale white and peels away from his bleached bones. Underneath his skin his blood, although it no longer flows through his veins, is a powerful toxin from his years of chemical exposure. With one drop of his own blood, he is able to create powerful elixirs, potions, and neurotoxins. Like most forsaken, his eyes are yellow orbs within the pits of his sockets. Although his jaw remains intact, he covers the skinless area with a mask so that it feels and looks less bare. His hair remains the length it was in life, but is now a light blue color from the damage that decay has done to it. Only the clawed tips of fingers remain where skin and muscle used to cover them. As far as clothing goes, Valinthras prefers black and gray coloration, often in the form of a robe. He sometimes carries a staff, but most times he carries a vial full of suspicious liquid as well as a poison-tipped dagger. - Mannerisms/Expression: Like most Forsaken, Valinthras holds a general hatred for the living, especially humans. He feels abandoned by the Light, and goes out of his way to practice anything that would go against it. Often times he exhibits sarcasm in conversation with non-Forsaken, or he appears to express interest in a topic when he could care less about it. Long nights are spent in the Apothecarium creating new elixirs and potions as well as creating serums to make the plague more potent. Because Valinthras’ blood does not flow through his veins, he can often be seen injecting himself with deathblood venom in order to replenish some of his chemical blood supply. History: In life, Valinthras’ family owned a company that manufactured medicinal supplies: bandages, vials, special herbs… anything you could think of. This meant that his father had to go on a lot of business trips, in which Valinthras was promptly dragged along as a child. There he got to experience faraway lands from Gilneas to Alterac. When Valinthras finally inherited the company from his father when his father died of old age, he sold it. He was tired of dealing with the business all his life, so he settled down in what is now known as Plaguewood. From there, he would be one of the first victims of the undead plague in Lordaeron for eating the tainted grain. He went to bed that night with a stomach ache, but thought nothing of it. Much to his surprise, he awoke again as a Forsaken liberated from the Scourge by Sylvanas, and he has been in her service ever since. His skill with medicine in life followed him into undeath. So, he quickly rose in rank within the Royal Apothecary Society. - Hobbies: Valinthras enjoys working in the Apothecarium to create his elixirs and oversee the production of Abominations. He heads many research projects involved with the production of the plague. In his free time he tortures the human captives and goes to public events.
