Kayonie Striker
Kayonie opened her eyes, the gentle light of morning embraced the room and greeted her. Slowly she pulled herself from the bed, her black silk nightgown glided between her Sin'Dorein figure and the sheets. She stared out of her window to the porch, sun lilies already following the path of the light with their beautiful white faces. She smiled,
"Maybe one day I can use my gifts to create meadows of these flowers." she muttered to herself. "But not yet."
She quietly walked to an open space, away from the view of the window that held a large stone basin full of water. She splashed the water on her face once, and then dried her hands and face with a small towel that was to the side. She straightened her posture, and then slid the shoulder straps of her gown off of her body. the loose fitting silk fell to the ground.
For a moment she stood there, her thin frame adjusting to the cool morning air. she stepped out of the silk ring that was her robe, and then slid her bare left foot out towards the water basin, fingers stretched out. Slowly the water from the basin rose like a thin snake and began to wrap around her hand, arm, shoulder, and then down her chest to her right leg. The water finally stopped at the top of her right ankle. she slowly slide back to a standing position.
she then mirrored the action on her right side, bending the sunlight to perform the same action around her body, again sliding back to a standing position after the process was complete. she pauses a moment with the two forces winding around her body before moving. She slid gracefully around the apartment, hands gliding and flowing. The light and water smoothly flowed off of her, bolts of water and light collided, splashing rainbows around the room. After an hour she drew herself into a standing position. She moved the water force into a blob staring at it intently. Slowly the water formed into a flower, the light slowly began to burn into actual fire, replicating the water flower. Kayonie fell to the ground, leaning her back against her bed. Tears flowed down her face as the fire vanished and water fell to the apartment floor.
"Rest in the light, sister." Kayonie whispered. slowly she hugged herself, sobs shaking her frail form.
