I hate this holiday!

  • I hate this holiday. It makes no sense to me. Romance, courting, perfume, and candy? These things are not needed for mates. Love is not shown through such cheap and commercial means. It is shown through action, living next to your partner, sharing a life. It is done with endurance, to make that spark of love never die. It is done with tenacity, never giving into fear and doing what need to be done for your partner.

But it is not these honorable actions that I see. I see goblins peddling their goods, selling them as tokens of love. Do these people not see? Do they not know what real love is? Do they not know that they are being used for profit in the name of one of the greatest things in this life? Love?

I'l tell you what love is. Love is waking next to the person you care most for and cannot imagine a day in your life in which you could start in a better way. Love is sticking with that person, through thick and thin. Love is showing strength, but also compassion. Love is challenging that person and in turn being challenged. Love is improving yourself, but not for yourself. It is for that person!

Love is so far beyond these perfume wreaking streets, beyond the cheap candy, beyond the overly pink roses. Love is not found in a heart-shaped box, it is found in your partner. It is found in your soul. Grow up Orgrimmar.

Caitlighn Firehammer Hey, you guys are the ones who accepted goblins into the Horde. You got nothing to blame but yourselves! Go take it out on them, I hear the winged ones make good target practice. ;)

Shupashupa No sweet candies required. No cheap shiny trinkets. A good meal prepared with care, served in a simple wooden bowl and shared, while entertained by a proper Lok'amon.
