Catching up on Writting

  • It's been a long time since I scribbled anything in here. As of late I've been reading and enjoying what books can be found in the Stormwind library. Books on monsters and dragons, wars and trolls. M'lord has been in and out doing as he normally does while I've stayed here in Westfall reading and keeping up with daily chores. It's of course by my choice but I guess today I just felt like writing instead of reading. Collect my thoughts on everything that has been happening recently.

There's some kind of wolf or worg maybe it seems in Westfall, maybe even some kind of rogue worgen from Duskwood. Whatever it was it was making terrible howls or cries that could be heard very close. My Lord and I went and checked the surrounding farms this morning. While the farmers said they too heard the terrible cries they saw nothing and all their livestock, while spooked, were there and well too.

The Mug has been in Booty Bay for a few weeks now, its a nice change for Jaffar I know and seems to be bringing in a crowd. The goblins there still don’t seem to trust me, but my Lord has convinced them he's a trustable sort and they don’t bother him, he says. Maybe I should try to make amends with them so I can get back to work.

I've also let my alchemy get behind me I should practice so I don't get rusty. I'm not strong enough or trained enough to go into the Black Mountain with my Lord and the rest of the Templars but I should make flasks and potions for them, it would be the least I can do. Alek keeps saying that Lady Arialynn let him die, but he seems well enough to me, I think he just like to pull her strings. Over all he says we’ve done well. Quelled some kind of lava worm, faced statues made of rock and built with mechanisms able to spout fire and lightning. Even some kind of monstrous or deformed drakanoid. Likely there are countless others just like them, and the Templars and others attacking the hold will down many more before making an obvious difference in the fight.

I’ve had the guildstone on my bedside table, but lately it just seems a lot of people arguing and fussing, Kanta’s always yelling at someone about something, and Harple’s always calling to talk to Lady Arialynn. I don’t pay much attention to it, there are a lot of new voices I don’t recognize. I mostly pay attention when I know my Lord is off in the mountain fighting dragons. I’d hate for anything to happen to any of the Templars.

There was also something about trolls. I’m not sure what it’s all about my Lord has only spoken about it in bits and pieces and I know he has an acquaintance that’s a troll. Either way my lord says that neither he nor I will be fighting in the battles with the trolls, at least on the Zandalari’s side. That’s really all he said, he seemed really irritated about it. I’ve read a lot about them, their culture is interesting and their history is long and wrought with war and tragedy. I’m sure that Lady Arialynn will make the best decisions for what we should do, if I understand the chatter over guildstone. My Lord seems to think so too it seems.

I haven't been able to make it to the Sunday Service that seems to have started up in the Cathedral again. I’d very much love to go but my duties normally keep me long after the service has started. My Lord went to the end of one, I’m sure he did nothing but crack jokes and poke fun much is his way. He has a good heart he just doesn't like to take anything to seriously, sometimes even out of proportion. Maybe I’ll be able to attend one day, though I heard that sir Taldrus doesn’t lead them any longer. It’s a shame he seemed like a very good man and was very patient with me in explaining the virtues at the Mug those few nights.
