I'm kind of echoing on what people have said, but....
My Mantra: Conflict creates plots. Plots create character development. Character development creates engagement.
There is no need for 'evil'. There is just a need for something to disagree about and conflict with.
The problem is not finding conflict, it is about maintaining that conflict to reap the RP benefits, rather then finding a quick resolution/solution.
The -journey- of obtaining closurer should be engaging, enjoyable, and rewarding. Too many conflicting persons/parties have been met with a quick end to gain victory.
Don't think black and white or good or evil.
Think of shades of gray and what might be considered right and wrong in terms of someones personal ethics. Its our ethics that define our perception.
