Who's Been Sleeping in My Bed?: A RP Home Organization Effort

  • December 25, 2011 11:14:01 PM EST

!EDIT PLEASE READ!   - Please remember to tag yourself on the appropriate map, don't just post in the thread.  It will be easier to organize than a big list.

    - If you find someone has already tagged a place you use, tag is as well, don't be put off.  The point of this is not to claim spots, the point is to note who uses which spot for what, so they can co-ordinate with eachother and minimize confusion.

    /end PSA

Ever had the problem of finding that perfect empty house, free of NPCs, and using it as your character's home for a while...only to log in one day to find another family occupying it as well?

No longer!  I've started the RP Home Organization Project (clever name pending.)  But I need YOUR help!  See, I don't know where you all live (I'm not that much of a creeper).  So, what I would like you all to do is this:

    1. Tag yourself in the appropriate location. I know the tag-boxes are kind of large, in comparison to the buildings on the maps, but give us an approximate location, at least.

    2. Leave a comment detailing what the location is used for.  Is it your house?  Business?  Guild headquaters?  Secret evil lair?  Do any other players live there with you?

    Aaaand that's it.  PLEASE NOTE:

-- This is NOT to be used to say, "I claim this spot!  No one else can use it!"  The purpose of this project is to help players organize and to avoid situations such as that.  Even if it seems someone has already "claimed" the location you use, tag yourself there, too!  Then you and the other player(s) can organize so you don't muck up eachother's RP.

-- If multiple people from the same party (such as room mates, guilds, etc.) use a space please have the primary owner ONLY tag the location to avoid confusion.

-- Please be sure to comment on the photo of the map you want, not the entire album, or else I will delete your comment and may or may not repost it in the appropriate place.

I hope this helps!  Thank you and good night.

I would be willing to help collaborate with you on this, Fox... mostly because I already do have a lot of locations documented and you seem to have beat me to creating such a database!

What I suggest (and this is what I was going to do), is that in addition to the maps of zones containing the houses and their pinpoints, that we should actually show what the house looks like with real-estate-esque descriptions, as well as listing current occupants.

That way, people can see what house they want before going to grab it! We could organize it by type of architecture, such as night elven, orcish, tauren, etc.

I tagged my Orgrimmar shop counter! No picture, as I suck at making small images loadable on websites. Besides, the game-version of the shop doesn't look much like the IC version.

The Cult has a base beneath the Lamb. However, we -do- have security set up and it is behind a secret door, so if anyone wishes to set up an RP invasion I do ask you contact me first!

The Conjurers Court uses Ledgermain Lounge in Dalaran, at the Runeweaver Square.

Also Kelsus uses the City Hall as his private office and soon to be his Magistrate post as Datina did in the past.

Etar and Thalleia (and their two NPC children, and occasionally Akhania) live in the mountains of Nagrand near the border of Terokkar. It's a little clearing with a waterfall and lake nearby. There's no actual hut there, though.

I like the cut of your jib, Foxgloves. Kormok (and some of the Tears of Draenor) use the Hall of the Brave in Orgrimmar as their hangout spot/base of operations (usually the upper floors/training deck).

Edit: Tagged in appropriate album photo.

Damnit Mox, now we're gonna get people attacking us day and night!
  • December 26, 2011 3:26:56 PM EST
That will be quite entertaining. Mage-fire-popped popcorn on its way for people that want to sit out on the Hall's deck and watch the guards play with invaders.

I did not see a map for Blasted Lands so I'll post it here because Jaffar and Ambrosine currently use that house in Surwich with the mailbox as their farm/brewery. I've been hesitant to say ICly that Jaff lives in Surwich given the amount of ownership and claims that have happened with regards to that town. Oddly enough, despite the locations previous popularity in the 3 times that we've RPed there we haven't seen another player, aside from a level 55 running through.

Eagleface and Mal live in Westfall somewhere in the hills in some house that's not really there... but is. XD I'll get around to tagging it when it appears. GL with this Foxy!

Mayune uses the hut along Southfury River in the Northern Barrens. Has lived there for 3-4 yIRL.

Velhari lives in the house on the hill at Keels Harbour in Gilneas, but has mainly moved to the house by the Lighthouse east of Tyrs Hand in EPL.

For those of you who have visited, Thsay lives in Dalaran with Wenna and Jadaria. I've marked the placeholder I use for the Tower of Sunset Flame.

At the moment, the Templars can be found in one of two places - Wintergarde Keep in Dragonblight, and Foothold Citadel in Theramore. The inns in those locations are frequented as well. Those locations are not "owned" as much as temporarily occupied.

Blood of the Rose is indeed using Hearthglen. As for the Dragonblight Campaign, we're located not far from in front of the Wrathgates.

Kan lives in Gilneas. Biggest house near the harbor. I know that I've used it for a LONG time, and I've hand people come in while I was roleplaying. Lol. I do know that I had it first, but meh. As long as people don't try to claim it and kick me out, I'm good.

I also forgot to add: Kazura Snowshadow lives there with Kan.

Insy's home is the farmhouse behind Ambermill headed towards the lake in Silverpine Forest.

I believe Calithos uses the same location on rare occasions, and we are technically down the road from each other. Neighbors in life before Cata borked Ambermill.

Azalen's tower is located in the ruins of Lordaeron above the Undercity. I'll try and mark that too.
